Watch Paul McCartney and Foo Fighters cover Get Back at Rock Hall 2021 – Guitar.com
After Foo Fighters inducted into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame this weekend, the band were joined on stage by Beatle Paul McCartney for a boisterous and chaotic cover of To recover.
The band first performed a quick set of three songs – The best of yourself, My hero and eternal.
They then took the stage for the six band members to deliver an induction speech, Grohl declaring, “I would like to say that the best thing about being here tonight is being surrounded by our family. And when I say that, I mean, if anyone knows how the Foo Fighters work, the people we’re with and who we’ve worked with, it’s been 20, 25, 30 years and we stay together as family.
Paul McCartney inducted them, who hosted the Foos, in his own words: “Not just any Hall of Fame – it’s the fucking Rock And Roll Hall of Fame.”
With the Foos Back on stage, they were joined by McCartney to close the show with a cover of The Beatles’ To recover. There is no official video of the performance, but you can check out some fan footage below.
The enthronement also notably makes Dave Grohl a two-time inductee, as he was also inducted as a member of Nirvana. Much like Nirvana, the Foo Fighters were inducted into the Hall during their first year of eligibility.
