The Torturer Reveals New Member, Album & Video
Chilean Death Thrash band Torturer announce that they are currently working on a new studio album which will be titled “The Flames of Purification – Burning Cross”. The new album is set to be released via Australis Records in Chile in the second half of 2022. This material consists of a re-recording of your previous work ‘Burning Cross’ originally released in 2003, along with other rarities and an updated sound in production terms. It also announces the incorporation of JT García (guitars), who will debut with this new effort.
Leader Francisco Cautín commented:
“We were never really satisfied with the production of “Burning Cross” at the time and now we will finally have the opportunity to present these songs with the sound they deserve, as well as to launch the new line up which gave a new spark of light to our sound.”
‘The Flames of Purification – Burning Cross’ was produced by Pablo Gudiño, who previously worked with the band on their previous studio albums, ‘Conjuro IV’ (2017) and the namesake ‘Torturer’ (2012), at the Torture Chamber studio. The artwork was created by Productora Medu1a, who has been recognized in the Chilean media for her graphic work in the past with work for bands such as Kuervos del Sur and Crisalida.

In the meantime, the band are preparing for the 30th anniversary celebration of their acclaimed ‘Demo 91’ with a new version of their most popular song called ‘Kingdom of the Dark’ which will be accompanied by a new video, which should be released in the month. from May 2022.
