DEAD LORD – Visualizer For DAD Cover “Sleeping My Day Away” Streaming
Swedish supreme rockers Dead Lord have released their new single “Sleeping My Day Away”. The group salutes its Scandinavian colleagues at DAD for the takeover. Dead Lord’s new single is now available on all major streaming platforms here. The group also shared a viewing video, which features the spectacular cover art of their new EP Dystopia.
“Defenders of the night and snoozers, unite!” Here is one fresh from the press that may sound familiar. Our Scandinavian DAD colleagues cracked it a while ago, and we agree that night is definitely a good time. And the day is not the right time. Here is our opinion on their beautiful little nugget. Let’s sleep everyday, all in the name of rock, ”says Dead Lord frontman Hakim Krim of the band’s version of“ Sleeping My Day Away ”.
Dystopia is a continuation and closing chapter for the band’s full 2020 LP, Surrender, the EP Dystopia begins where this album left off, with the title track serving as the forward bookend.
The rest of his song list includes a collection of cover versions of acts like DAD (“Sleeping My Day Away”), Winterhawk (“Ace In The Hole”), Moon Martin (“Hands Down”) and Rory Gallagher ( “Moonchild”), before concluding with the Swedish version of “Letter from Allen St.”. The EP Dystopia, which features cover artwork by Juan Machado, will be released on March 11, 2022 via Century Media Records.
Speaking on their new EP, Dead Lord guitarist and singer Hakim Krim finds the following words:
“Wax is the only thing that is everlasting! We know that as well as you do. So finally, here’s our latest single-gone-ep release, for you to enjoy. 6 pieces of something new, old, borrowed and freezing. A few unreleased tracks, tributes to our fellow rockateers, if you will, as well as a few nuggets previously only published digitally, are finally making their way to a melting rock groove plateau. So even in the most dystopian potential future, where computers have long been lost to nuclear storms, your record player will continue to spin. And rock will win!
